After a long and disappointing cloudy day of photography along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, I returned to an interesting beach that had several century-old shipwrecks. As I was working down by the gnarled pieces of wood and steel, I noticed some sunlight appearing from the west for the first time that day. I turned my attention, setting up my tripod and capturing the last glimpse of daylight as the sun set on the horizon.
Most images have been captured using the most modern medium format digital cameras and lenses (Pentax 645D/645Z), providing exceptional image sharpness and color rendition. Very few photographers use this high-end and expensive equipment, which requires masterful technique and patience. All images are printed and framed at our downtown Duluth gallery using museum grade materials and archival, pigment-based inks.

Description from Merchant:
All images are printed and framed in studio by the artist using museum grade canvas/fine art papers and archival pigment-based inks. This archival inkjet process, a.k.a. giclee, is more environmentally friendly than traditional wet printing and resists fading and discoloration for up to three times longer.
